Frances – Operations Manager
Frances is a Mum of 3 grown up children and has been working at Headway Cornwall since 2001. She took over the role as Operations Manager in 2010 when the service began to expand. Frances now has an even deeper understanding of the problems faced by survivors of brain injury after her Dad suffered a severe stroke last year. Frances enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, hiking with the dogs and travelling.
Elayne – Volunteer at Scorrier
I am a 32 year old mum of two who has lived in Cornwall for all of my life. My background is both in health and social care and retail. Whilst my daughter was young, I also did some courses in cake decorating and chocolate work.. I have recently qualified as a Therapeutic counsellor which is a passion of mine. My main interests in counselling include working with acquired illness and disability as well as loss and bereavement. I accessed Headway Cornwall to assist me in gaining my qualification and have now been volunteering at the Scorrier group for about a year.
